Going to a new place can be intimidating.
We want to help answer some of your questions!
When is the Sunday morning service?
What is available for my kids?
We have many kids at the Kemp Church. There are opportunities to make lifelong friendships. There are Bible classes for children beginning at four months and going through the twelfth grade. There is a children’s church during the sermon time for preschoolers. Our children, those going into fourth grade through twelfth grade, attend a church camp every June. Many of our members work with this camp. There are various activities throughout the year, including Vacation Bible School and church picnics at Walnut Point State Park every Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our children love these activities. We have a Trunk or Treat each October. There are parties and gatherings for our children to participate in year-round.
How early should I arrive?
We have what’s called, Kemp Time. Many show up a little later than the start times. We are pretty laid back in this way. We have a few who arrive ten minutes early and a few who arrive 10 minutes late. You have a twenty minute window to arrive at our services.
What should I wear?
What should I know about parking?
There is a parking lot on both sides of the building. Most families with children park in the back. Often the children head outside to play on the playground and this is in the back of the building. The older members usually park in the front of the building. There are some grandparents who like to park with families in the back.
I have questions about my faith. Can you help me?
We are always ready to listen. We value where you are in your faith journey and we are ready to assist in any way we can to encourage the growth of your faith.
